FDA Product Note

FDA Statement on Phosphatidylserine (PS)

In 2003, our FDA relented and made the following admissions about PS, our MEM-PRO™ flagship ingredient, essentially allowing supplement companies to sell and make these claims about PS:

First, related to “dementia”:

“Consumption of phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of dementia in the elderly. Very limited and preliminary scientific research suggests that phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of dementia in the elderly. FDA concludes that there is little scientific evidence supporting this claim.”

And secondly, related to “cognitive dysfunction”:

“Consumption of phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of cognitive dysfunction in the elderly. Very limited and preliminary scientific research suggests that phosphatidylserine may reduce the risk of cognitive dysfunction in the elderly. FDA concludes that there is little scientific evidence supporting this claim.”

As you may know, there is no funding of research for natural products like MEM-PRO™. So it is highly doubtful the FDA will ever have enough research of the type they seek to give us their full blessing. The numerous (over 2800+) positive studies we reference here prove that people all over the world have realized dramatic brain improvements taking Phosphatidyl Serine (PS). Famous phospholipid researcher, Dr. Parris Kidd has also shown that compounding phospholipids (as in MEM-PRO™) can result in even more dramatic results, which is why our product is made with both Phosphatidyl Serine (PS) and Phosphatidyl Choline (PC).
